To the naked eye, the buds are all very nicely grown except for the one small bud could use slightly better trimming. Other than that, Alaskan Thunder Fuck reminded me most of Jack Herer (taste, smoke, aroma) with a more intense (cerebral) head high. This strain is definitely one of my top 3 favorite Sativas of all-time.
The smell from ATF is amazing and deserves an award on its own; it reminds me of frosty pine, or menthol… with a fresh lemon scent

Alaskan thunder fuck origin
Alaskan thunder fuck has a long and illustrious history. When High Times published a feature piece on the strain in the mid-1970s, it was in response to a landmark court ruling that effectively legalized marijuana possession for small amounts within the state. Originally, this strain was as near to a true sativa as you can get, but Afghani characteristics were bred into the strain a few years after it was created for improved heartiness. Due of regular DEA raids, ATF had to remain underground for the most of the 1980s.
Due to continuous DEA raids, ATF had to go underground and was even said to be protected by the Hells Angels during this time.
Smell and Appearance
ATF strain is one of those that draws your focus away from the bag attractiveness. ATF responds well to cold weather, bringing up dark purple tones that complement the already stunning looks. Everyone enjoys the very icy, sugar-dipped beauty of the buds. It’s simply a lovely strain to look at.
The scent is strong and fills the room rapidly, with varied degrees of pine, earth, citrus, skunk, and floral scents overwhelming your nostrils.
If you are a first-time patient who is concerned of suffering any form of paranoia, you may want to start with minimal doses (1-2 puffs).
